10 completely understandable phobias

Media_httpdldropboxco_ozvyc

There’s an abundance of confusing (and really funny) phobias out there—like Geniophobia. You know, the fear of chins. But there are also ten completely understandable fears we suffer from that are easy to sympathize with. See a few of them below:

  • Deipnophobia—Fear of dinner conversations. “So, Jim. What exactly are your intentions with my daughter?”
  • Tocophobia—Fear of pregnancy. In case you didn’t know, pregnancy = children.
  • Zemmiphobia—Fear of naked mole rats. Self-explanatory. Yikes.

Full giggle-inducing list at BuzzFeed.

Get your weird on.

Ohh my sister had a fear and it is listed in '10 completely understandable phobias' which is Acrophobia. Naked mole rats are really yucky and I guess most people don't want to see them.

I agree, there are some very weird phobias put there. One that I find odd is Octophobia - the fear of the figure 8. I wonder what the name for a phobia would be that is "Fear of not getting feedback". I guess it could be traced back to Atychiphobia - the fear of failure.

I have to admit, I'm still not very good with not getting feedback. But there's some great advice I was given in order to combat that fear, we wrote about it in an article called "The best feedback is silence". No, really, it is!
