It’s a fact that app sales on the Android platform have not been as strong as those of the iPhone. And, yeah, it might not be a fair fight. Android app developpers have had to try and produce similar apps, for less cost, for a smaller niche market. Not the easiest of things to do, right?

That’s why AndroidTapp.com has summed up ten tips to help Android developpers create better apps from a user experience perspective.

1. Assume the user is impatient. The typical mobile app user has the patience of a three year old waiting to get out of their time out chair. So it’s important to benchmark your app in the testing life cycle for speed.

2. Don’t over complicate navigation. Complex or inconsistent navigation are frustrating, and will turn users off your app in a heartbeat.

Very helpful. Makes me want to avoid any app ad-ons. Pretty easy to envision a useless phone with boated apps gumming up the works. Also, doesn't not have the ease of purchase that iPhone does. I was thinking of developing an app but now on definite hold. Google owns a big cloud, why not use it?
