College isn’t for everyone. As a former educator, I feel very, very comfortable saying that. Some of my students weren’t ready for college straight out of high school––I sure wasn’t. Others don’t need college at all. But we’re getting to a point as a society in which college is simply expected. For everyone. This daring Art of Manliness post questions that assumption, and takes a look at eleven alternatives for a traditional four year eduction. Some aren’t as risky––like community college or a professional school––others are a bit more controversial––like becoming a full-time artist or selling real estate. There’s one tip I bet all of our readers will like: skip college, go straight to starting a business.
