6 travel ads of simple genius


We’ve got to hand it to Expedia for making the simple three-letter abbreviations used by airports to get baggage where it’s supposed to go (usually) for creating something incredibly clever (or hiring the right people to do so).

According to the team at Ogilvy & Mather, London who developed the campaign:

“It all started when we saw a woman walking through Heathrow with the word FUK hanging from her suitcase,” they say. “Turned out she’d just flown in from Fukuoka in Japan. That got us thinking, ‘maybe there are more’.”

And there were.
