When I first came to the US, I was surprise at how much the available technology was behind that in the UK. I had my first cellphone back in 1992 - and it was 100% digital - never owned an analogue phone, even back then.

That transparent LG probably looks nice when brand new, but not so attractive after a few months of accumulating grime and yellowing.

Not very long ago, the fetishization of the mobile phone would be regarded as ludicrous. My hunch is that in a short while the focus will be on wearable electronics instead, and the separate handset will be considered to be as ridiculous as those huge early mobiles. And that the US will lag behind that design trend as well.

I saw most if not all of these phones at an asian mall (Aberdeen Center) in Richmond, a suburb of Vancouver, Canada...

So Canada has these phones
