It’s that time of year when the news in many cities will include bemoaning the presence of potholes as the cold weather wreaks havoc on the roadways. Instead of calling a hotline or writing a strongly-worded letter to the local paper, Steve Wheen has been calling attention to the poor state of roadways by dressing them up.
His Pothole Gardens have been delighting London passerby since his university days, but that may not say much for their effectiveness when it comes to getting the issue addressed. An idea like this could double the amount of urban green space in certain cities, though.
