The financial crisis showed us all the peril of living on credit, but this is one charge card for emergencies that won’t leave you banging your head against a wall down the road.

ChargeCard, designed by Noah Dentzel and Adam Miller, is a wallet-sized USB cable for your iPhone or Android device that easily fits in a wallet and folds out when your battery starts dying. No more bulky cords that get tangled up with everything else in your bag, but still keeps you from getting in a bind.

According to its Kickstarter page:

Our quest was simple: a charging cable for your iPhone portable enough for you to always have it on you. Being ultra-portable, however, wasn’t enough; it needed to fit into your life. So we designed ChargeCard in the shape of a business card, and at only three times the thickness of a credit card. With this form factor, the ChargeCard fits naturally into your wallet, purse or pocket. It’s there when you need it, and out of your way when you don’t.

Backers can choose their color and personalization, so get on board today.
