A glimpse into the future of iPods

The iPod blew out eight birthday candles last week (don’t ask how) and, from the looks of Apple’s portable media player domination, it seems like the trusty old iPod will celebrate many more birthdays in the future. So, what does the future hold for the trendy music player? Some very creative designers racked their noggins and came up with a few interesting ideas, everything from the iPod Ring to the iPod Wrist Watch.

Hmm, it looks like the future of the iPod is getting lost in the jewelry box.

Very nice ideas, all dependent on blue tooth headsets. The watch looks wonderful and is exactly what Maxwell Smart would be using today...

A key still looks like a key 200 years later because there are some basic design points that are required. The iPod designs above, minus the watch are impractical. Especially the water!
