A quick history lesson on snowflakes

It's the middle of winter, and it's the perfect time for a brief history lesson on the season's most beautiful feature - snow!

In 1885, Wilson A. Bentley became the first person to ever photograph an individual snowflake. By 1903, he had accumulated 500 prints, and submitted them to the Smithsonian. In 1903, 2,400+ of his prints were published in a book titled Snow Crystals. These images (and over 5,000 others) proved that no two snowflakes are alike.
