Apple has handed down a death sentence for MobileMe and the execution will go down June 30, 2012.

Introduced three years ago, most folks (even fanboys) could never quite swallow the $99 a year price tag for the buggy service. With the debut of the free iCloud, Apple has no reason to keep MobileMe going. On stage at WWDC, Steve Jobs admitted MobileMe's shortcomings, saying "it wasn't our finest hour."
