Amazing HDR photos

High dynamic range imaging (HDR) is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of luminances between light and dark areas of a scene than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDR is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows. Check out this incredible HDR series by photographer Grey Jones.

More photography for all you shutterbugs.

I adore HDR but prefer when the artist photographer has the skill to make them look real. See these examples on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/groups/realhdr/pool/

I think they are even more breathtaking then!

Here's one of my own:

I still have a long way to go but any feedback would be appreciated!

I guess I don't get it. They look like cartoons. Really NICE cartoons....but I don't see "photography" when I look at these.
