A favorite doomsday scenario of both Hollywood and conspiracy theorists is an asteroid hit destroying (or nearly destroying –thanks Bruce Willis!) life on our lowly little planet, but to put fears to rest, Space.com has graciously offered up this helpful graphic to start dispelling those rumors at their root.
Originally, there was a 2.4% chance of collision, but upon further examination, scientists say we should still be around to tell the tale of Apophis come the summer of 2029.
No reason not to party like its 2029, though.
