Long lines and a plethora of hype didn’t keep eager iPad fans away as Apple sold 300,000 units of the new tablet device on the gadget’s debut day. Industry analysts estimate Apple moved between 600,000 and 700,000 iPads over the entire weekend. The sales figures include both internet pre-orders and sales at Apple stores around the country. The question now is, can Apple keep the momentum going and reach beyond gadget geeks?
