Freshly fallen snow lays down a clean canvas for artists willing to brave chilly temperatures. Artist Sonja Hinrichsen recently enlisted the help of five volunteers (and probably a few snowsuits) to bring an artistic flair to the pure powder of Rabbit Ears Pass in Colorado.
The group trampled through the white stuff, forming dizzingly beautiful circles that connected to form one massive snow drawing.
Beautiful, but probably a bit less fun than snow angels and ice forts.
The beauty of art.
