Attack of the Face-kini
Ready for the bathing suit trend sweeping Chinese beaches? If you’re worried about premature aging due to sun exposure, you might, but perhaps just avoiding the beach altogether would be a less mortifying way to go than sporting a Face-kini.
The trend appears to have started on the northeastern China beaches of Quingdao, where algae blooms in the shallows make for some messing wading, but others are adopting the unusual look to shield pale skin from the sun’s rays.
While undoubtedly effective and a bonus if armed robbery of the beachfront hotdog stand plays into your plans, we somehow doubt this will be making a splash in the Western swimwear scene any time soon.
