Awesome new green housing development in LA

In Atwater Village, LA, RLG Properties, Inc. announced they have begun construction on a new single-family development. Taking advantage of the small lot ordinance, RLG is building twenty three ‘green’ homes. Every one of them will have three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and an open floor plan. They’re calling the development The Mews. Starting at $599,000, the cool structures will be totally green, complete with extensive daylighting, operable clerestory windows, natural ventilation, Grasscrete permeable paving, bamboo flooring, drought tolerant landscaping, energy efficient appliances, and best of all—an installed solar panel system to power the place.
