Be still my heart: Kim Kardashian gets $10,000 for sponsored tweets

Speaking of Kim Kardashian, Ad.ly claims that she makes $10,000 per sponsored tweet. Her sponsored tweets are “limited” to once per day.

I have three questions:

What advertiser would pay this?
Does it realize how little follower counts mean?
Where do I sign up to get sponsored? :-)

Thanks for posting, if true it makes sense to me now why KK would bash the iphone seemingly unprovoked. The tweet Didnt make me not want an iphone, and frankly I couldnt tell you what phone she was peddling, but th tweet came a cross as random and senseless. Dont get me wrong, I have no qualms with KK making a living - Go Girl- but integrity should matter and her failing to disclose her sponsor goes against her credibility.

While I think it's fine for her to use Twitter as a means of creating sponsorships, there should be a disclaimer. When a celebrity is in an advertisement you know s/he was paid. But Twitter is supposedly a celebrity's "uncensored" opinion. By "giving" her opinion about a product and being paid for it is misrepresentation. Maybe she needs a hashtag like #endorsement

The Carl's Jr ad was not sent from the Ad.ly network (we're not even sure if it was actually an ad).
Any ad that is sent from Ad.ly's network is disclosed with "(Ad)" at the end of the tweet.
