Beatles catalog goes digital...on a USB

Beatles fans hoping to get their hands on a digital copy of the Fab Four’s discography will have to fork over $280 and throw a few elbows if they hope to score the catalog. Apple Corps (nothing to do with Macs and Steve Jobs), in partnership with EMI Music, will release the entire catalog digitally, but don’t expect to find the famous tunes on iTunes or any other online music store because it will only be released on, get this, an apple-shaped USB stick. Whaaa?

The limited-edition musical fruit debuts December 8 and is available for pre-order on the Beatles’ official website.

Mounds of music news.
