An eccentric Alabama man’s warning for local news viewers to “hide yo kids, hide yo wife” lit up the internet in 2010, earning it a place in pop culture history and a special web honor. The auto-tuned version of Antoine Dodson’s rant nabbed the distinction of most-watched, non-music video YouTube clip of the year.
The “Bed Intruder Song” and its combined 61 million+ views easily topped a parody of Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” and a video showcasing the big voice of 13-year-old Gaga-singing Grayson Chance, which grabbed the second and third spots on the list, respectively.
YouTube creates a separate list for commercial music videos. Justin Bieber’s “Baby” topped that list with a whopping 407 million views. Other artists with hot YouTube hits include Shakira, Eminem, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.
