Best sushi of my life
Here’s another great Twitter story. I notice that Cal Lee (@MayhemStudios) is tweeting at 2:00 am California time, so I ping him to tell him that I’m in Oslo. I also mention that there’s not a lot of sushi around here. Frederik Johnsen (@rJohnsen), a digital strategist in Oslo, sees that tweet and tells me that there is good sushi in Oslo, and it's a place called Alex Sushi.
So tonight I ate at Alex Sushi, and these are the pictures from the meal. It was probably the best sushi I’ve had in my life, and I’ve eaten many a raw fish in my time. In particular, the salmon and king crab were out of this world. Also, I ate whale sushi—which would get you arrested in Palo Alto; it too was very good. There’s something about the Japanese and whales...
Backing up a little. I got to Alex Sushi before it opened so I went to kill time in the Universitetsbiblioteket. I got on Twitter and mentioned that I’ll be Alex Sushi. A guy named Kim Kristian Humberstad sees that tweet and drops by so that he can pitch me on his business. I ended up buying him dinner and fixing his executive summary!
This is Kim. More power to him seeing my tweet and showing up. Seize the day!
This is Alex himself. These are pictures of everything that I ate, and the cost was approximately $105.00. If you’re ever in Oslo and want sushi, check out Alex Sushi.
