Paris is chock full of history and culture, and though it has more than its share of merry-go-rounds for the kiddies, what a stroll across the Seine is really missing is a huge dose of fun. That’s where Atelier Zündel Cristea’s design comes in.

Created for a competition of conceptual bridges for the city of Paris, AZC explains,

The competition brief, A Bridge in Paris, allows us to locate an architectural reflection within this same realm of contemporary urban enjoyment. It appears to us that Paris has the bridges and passages necessary for the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic across its waterways. Our intention is to invite its visitors and inhabitants to engage on a newer and more playful path across this same water.

The real question is how long it would last with all those tourists packing souvenir Eiffel Towers just begging to punch a hole in all that fun.

We can still dream, though…
