Cheers, fellers! Booze protects men’s hearts

Listen up, office dweller fellers: Forget that post-work workout and head straight for Happy Hour because it turns out your heart will benefit whether you choose dumbbells or daiquiris. Plus, let's face it, daiquiris are way more fun and don't make you sweat.

A study out of Spain reports that men who drink alcohol every day reduce their risk for heart disease by more than a third. Experts aka killjoys have expressed skepticism, warning that too much boozing can lead to a slew of other health problems.

Pour yourself a pint and read all about the study.

Cheers to a plethora of health news.

Annie, Not sure how many fellers pony up to the bar for 'daiquiris'. If I were to translate, since the benefit does not seem to transcend to women, it sounds like you are thinking vicariously through a man's eyes by ordering up the daiquiris for yourself ;-)

HA! I was going for the alliteration (dumbbells and daiquiris) and couldn't think of another drink that started with 'd.' :)

But that doesn't take into account that a lot of men drink beer, which, in the excess that my dad drinks of it, is pretty much crap for heart health from what I read.
