– Coolest fonts from 2009

I Love Typography shares an inspiring list of its favorite fonts from 2009. Particularly satisfying about the post is its substantive commentary on the typeface’s history and artistic detail. The one above, for instance, is Calluna, which the blog describes as, “a delightful text typeface, that has already found its way into at least one book. Relatively light on the page, replete with numerous subtle details that make for a beautifully even colour. Nice tension in the italic, a broad character set, and everything else you need for setting extended texts. And those serifs come into their own when the type is used at display sizes.”
