And you thought things got hot for Anakin when Obi Wan left him by the lava river on Mustafar?
Jonathan Rice got a taste of that pain when he likely set a new record for the hottest run, completing a mile in six minutes and thirty-two seconds in 129 degree heat during the Darth Valley Challenge.
“This is a ludicrously dangerous endeavor. I don’t support you doing it. I don’t even really support me doing it.” He goes on to list the risks as “dehydration, heatstroke, heart attack, death, death, more death and getting a purple face.”
This is the fourth year in a row Rice and friends have donned their Star Wars costumes for a little fun run in the sun, but never has it been this hot.
We’ll be waiting for Guinness to weigh in on whether or not his stunt enters the record books.
Mad for Star Wars.
