Deep below the streets of New York lies the Lively Morgue, a treasure trove of clippings and photographs from throughout the history of the New York Times.

As the age of digital dawned, the ugly head of possible destruction has reared many a time, but to anyone who remembers the thrill of flipping through the card catalog or even a library full of *gasp* uncataloged materials, the Lively Morgue is buried treasure.
