Facebook valued at $23 billion?

When equity firm Elevation Partners bought $120 million in Facebook stock, it also revealed a little factoid as well, says Reuters: The social networking site is worth $23 billion. In 2009 alone, the company allegedly generated between $700 million and $800 million with its 500 million users.

$23 billion??? That's almost unimaginable. I wonder if they projected anywhere near that in the start-up phase, even in their wildest dreams?
