Facebook’s awesome new headquarters

When Facebook brought together their seven hundred plus employees, whose offices were scattered around the Palo Alto region, they formed a massive, envy-inducing headquarters.

Employees used the Facebook platform to provide input and feedback, to post photos and videos of the development during the building process, and to coordinate the move. The new building is open concept but houses different neighbourhoods, reflecting each division’s individual identity from a previous location. The headquarters is completely green too (another employee desire), featuring recycled, re-purposed materials and energy-efficient lighting.

And if you’re not impressed yet—there is also a fully staffed kitchen where chefs prepare gourmet meals round-the-clock for Facebook employees. That’s on top of their drink and snack micro-kitchens strewn about the giant building.

Here’s a preview:

Are they hiring, for any full time benefitted position, over at FaceBook? I would be interested in working for this interesting, and growing, Company.

They've got some nice furniture, but its the people that make all the difference. Is that a skate park outside? We've got one just up the road at Devonshire Green, Sheffield - not quite the same though.
