In a Twitter first, astronaut TJ Creamer sent a tweet from space. Creamer joined the International Space Station crew last month and has spent his time off the planet working with flight controllers in Houston to establish internet access. Prior to hooking up the connection, astronauts had to submit Twitter updates to Mission Control for posting.

That’s one small tweet for man, one giant tweet for mankind.
