Brian S. from St. Louis, Missouri is bathing in a virtual avalanche of confetti because his sign-up with Foursquare marks the service’s three millionth member. The avatar-less Brian hasn’t actually checked-in anywhere yet, but maybe he’ll make a trip to the Arch when someone tips him off to his milestone distinction.

Foursquare growth has zipped into rapid growth mode lately with approximately 15,500 users signing up per day, or about half a million each month.
