Such a sad song! He and his family are valiant, brave, strong, enduring folks! I have ALWAYS Loved his music! And I pray for him and his loved ones! Thank You Glen, for all you were and are, and for sharing yourself with the world!

So sad that he will never be the same man again! Once the disease has progressed to the stage he’s in now that you actually need 24 hour care, you’re as good as dead already!

  • Karen

We will all see you some day on a Country Road!!!!!

  • Crying out loud here. So very sad.

  • great art comes the suffering. Thanks for the beauty.

  • I’ve seen end-stage patients “wake up” just hours or days before demise, and have lucid conversations. People who had been catatonic for months suddenly start talking about seeing Jesus, angels and loved ones in the room. There is a lot more going on in Mr. Campbell’s brain than we can see. May he and his family be comforted, as he gave so many comfort!

  • Couldn’t make myself listen to the song…I’m a blubbering slob over things like that and I don’t feel like crying just now. Such a horrible disease. Took care of patients with Alzheimers for many years. Every time I saw pictures on the wall of when they were young, I had to fight back the tears. Praying that research finds an answer some day. How sad…the life he lived, the songs he gave us, and now it comes to this.

  • We love you Glen. What a beautiful song. We’ll miss you.

  • Oh Glen, this breaks my heart. My Mom has had ALZ for 13 years now. Your family may still have time to spend with you but I know from my own experience that all those vivid memories that you’ve held close to your heart will fade into the abyss of this heartbreaking disease. May you stay close to one and other and find strength in your never ending love.

One of my favorite singers from the ’70s. My cousin was a friend of his and played guitar with him sometimes. We’ll really miss him.

  • Alzheimer’s is a horrible disease that is haunting me daily. My husband’s father had it..and his father’s mother had it..so it is always in the back of my mind..making me wonder if my beloved husband will succumb to it too one day. I only hope and pray that a medical breakthrough comes through soon..because this disease is robbing to many of our loved ones. The only thing I have heard that is helping some patients is Coconut Oil..from the YouTube videos by Dr. Mary Newport and her treatment of her own husband who has this disease with Coconut Oil..and the good results her husband has experienced as the coconut oil seems to feed the brain when nothing else can to improve memory and cognition. I’m already giving this to my husband daily as a preventative..and praying for the best to ease my mind a bit. My best to the Campbell family.

  • Definitely brought tears to my eyes; what an amazing man and one of my all time favorite, so personable, nice and timeless singer/songwriter and musician. Gonna miss you Glen!
