Google Wave explained

Tons of Google News.

What the heck is Google Wave? You and about 64.7 percent of the Twittersphere are all wondering (scientific calculation based on random checks of trending topics.) EpipheoStudios.com created a handy animated video to help explain the Wave hype with an underlying motive of scoring an elusive invite to the fancy new Google product. Does anyone else feel like this whole invite situation is reminiscent of elementary school birthday party invites? Still not a cool kid, I suppose.

I am ready to ride the way. Thanks Annie. I will invite you, if you would invite me. Even the cool kid felt that way at some pot in time. The Geeks are in control now.

I think the staggered invite is one of the most ingenius forms of marketing I've ever seen. Go Google.

Google Wave is something quite special. I've had an account for a little while now and it's quite something to see what your friends are typing in real-time. Something that doesn't sound like that much makes a big difference to how it feels more like a conversation than just messages pinging back and forth.

Yes, I'm not in the target demographic; but I sent Google a kick ass poem about the Wave and no invite. Memories of being the last person standing for kickball, etc., not fun Google.

Loved your video, just got my Wave account - though don't have any invites to share :-( seems like the invites option doesn't come standard with the wave account!

funny how the 20-somethings around my cubicle at work 4 years ago invited each other out loud to MySpace, and didn't invite me and NOW... those same 20 somethings are asking to be my facebook friend. HA! what's so trendy now??!! hmmm? tired of middle aged men scouting myspace for you?
