That a Dragon is hurtling through space to the International Space Station sounds like the ultimate melding of sci-fi and fantasy, but this is a story for the history books.
SpaceX’s Dragon is the first commercial craft being used to carry supplies to ISS, and though many applauded its successful takeoff this morning, the real test will come when it must test its maneuverability around ISS before being allowed to dock.
Oh, and did we mention that Star Trek’s Scotty’s ashes are also along for the ride, along with the remains of 307 other individuals? Now, that’s a sendoff.
