Home internet access increases romance chances
Looking for love? Step number one: Set up internet at your home. According to a new study, adults with internet access at home are more likely to find love than adults lacking a connection to the web. So what does an internet connection have to do with making love connection? Stanford University professor and study author Michael J. Rosenfield says the internet has become a leading way for Americans to find potential love mates.
According to the study, 82.2 percent of participants with web access at home had a significant other, but for those without a home internet hook-up, that number dropped to 62.8 percent. The study also found that using the internet to find a love match has become especially handy for people seeking partners in limited supply or hard to identify groups like gays, lesbian, and middle-aged single heterosexuals.
