How a 40-foot cargo container makes a stylish small home space

Stylish, simple, sleek and modern aren’t words you’d immediately go to when describing a cold, cramped, enclosed rectangular box best known for shipping freight around the world on giant water vessels. But this amazing home design brings together the best of modular thinking, mobile living and comfortable dwelling.

With all of these great designs for container homes we are still having issues about using containers as shops. These boxes are placed indoors with little to no modifications other than occasionally a window or side door and stacked 2 high with the upper for dead storage only... after many, many thousands of dollars in engineering we are close to approval however the city is still not sure they are "safe" for people to be inside of.

There is still much work to be done before you can just plop one down and start working out of it let alone living in it.
