How Coca-Cola retooled its wellness strategy

Media_httpwebuviccaak_vqtjm

Soda pop favourite, Coca-Cola, recently gave its company wellness strategy a great makeover. Basically, they revamped their philosophy and whipped up some new health care benefits to match. The two now operate in harmony with one another.

In the past, “we had no communication with the employee that having a healthy worker within our workforce was important to the company,” said Mary Williams, senior counsel of global compensation and benefits.

The new strategy involves educating employees about making informed decisions about their health. Coca-Cola is also providing some awesome incentives for those interested in the wellness programs. This year, the company boasts a fifty percent participation rate, and are offering up to 180 dollars to workers who do take part.

Bravo! Wait a minute... STOP and thing... Wellness from a toxic food manufacturer??? Would we be praising a hand grenade factory for offering a war amputee benefit program? Is this simply a white washing from the propaganda spin machine?

Sounds great - yes we all love you now coca cola for thinking so much about your employees :( so ridiculous! What about all the vending machines they put into schools practically forcing kids to become soda addicts - too much sugar, caffeine and chemicals for our kids bodies, makes me sick!

"the sweet revolution": looking forward the consumers-customers program which will consist is drinking less quantity of sodas, which mean less colas among others; by starting to seriously revisit the original recipes with other substitutes than artificial sweeteners and less quantity of sugar. The eternal fight for keeping the taste without the fate.
