What about the energy used to power up the eBook readers?

now I have seen some BS in my life but this is RIDICULOUS! who did this? did they forget the following?
- mining of the materials for the e-books, lithium especially for the batteries! - the plastic and the HIGHLY toxic conversion of oil to the plastics used & the environmental effects of using that plastic - the highly toxic chemicals used in the creation of the LCD/LED displays - the 100's of chemicals used in the creation of the chips - the ENERGY from the fossil fuels used to POWER the readers what impact there? - books: biodegradable, e-readers? not even close - the BATTERIES from e-readers are NOT biodegradable and pollute the water supply if they are even cracked to seep into the ground
whoever did this inforgraphic should be ashamed of themselves! there is no balance here, no fair analysis and NO true analysis. this is marketing & pretty pictures plain and simple! honestly embarrassing!
books not so good for the environment e-readers not even CLOSE to helpful to the environment but boy they are fun to use! ;)
This infographic is irresponsible- particularly in regards to mining (which is not only bad for the environment but is killing people). Also, this "23 book per year" claim is much lower then most pages I have read on this subject. Please post your sources of information. Stuff like this makes it really difficult to know what to do... I read a lot (I would say over 60 books per year + articles & reports) and I travel, so I often think of buying an e-reader. But I can't find a reliable way to quantify- especially when I think about charging it and such. If anyone has a good source for this, I would be really interested. Thanks.

So, other than that just feel free to let me know what I can do to help you out with this process!
