Transparency, open accountability, and reasonable consumption would have all been called "socialist" years back. Now, if we can only rename "social medicine" to "consumer driven medicine" we'll be all set.

This video's a little long but totally worthwhile. Two thumbs up.

A very good analysis of how our attitude toward consumption has changed. I think this new attitude is not only a reflection of the current economy; it is also the result of our increased ability to exchange ideas and come together as communities online. I think there is an increased awareness of collective power. We do not depend exclusively on corporations or larger organizations for good or services.
