You can discuss anything from industry trends, to personal experiences to tips and tricks to be more successful. This type of blog keeps yours readers informed on news relating to your industry, but more importantly it turns those bullet points on your resume into a real, human story. However, like most blogs, career blogs are a dime a dozen. So to ensure yours stands out, follow these four tips. Here's the first tip:

1. Focus on growth. For example, write an entry about a time (in a workplace setting) where your thinking shifted. Discuss what caused the shift, and how it impacted the way you currently behave, manage, and so on. Portray the experience in a positive light and demonstrate you are adaptable and dedicated to bettering yourself.
