Hubble photos recreate Starry Night
Sometimes a re-creation is so right, the artist himself would likely have stood up to applaud the effort, and that’s definitely the case with this rendering of Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night using shots from the Hubble telescope.
Postdoctoral research fellow Alex Harrison Parker used “…shots of planets, galaxies, nebulas, clusters of celestial bodies, and bursting stars” to create the masterpiece that, even in its original form, always inspired the imagination to reel.
