Forget harvesting scrap two-by-fours to make that tree house a reality, because who needs materials when they’re growing in the forest just waiting to be found by artist Jayson Fann?
To be fair, though, not all Fann’s materials are fallen branches, but he makes sure the branches he does remove don’t cause harm to the tree, then fits them together in fantastical human nests.
“The process consists of fitting the puzzle of branches into a flowing form that integrates structural integrity with artistic flow. I use tension by bending the wood and counter sunk screws that are virtually invisible to ensure a strong structure.”
As you can see, the result is something even Peter Jackson would be proud to put on screen.
