Europe’s deep freeze this winter made launching an iPad app for the IKEA catalogue in Norway something of a challenge since no one in the mitten-clad land of the North could peruse furniture and funky fabric selections without risking frostbite.

The solution? IKEA produced a sewing kit to make mittens conductive…and sold out of all 12,000 kits in two weeks.

Now that’s some clever marketing.
