Artist Alexa Meade creates stunning art pieces by painting models (think sophisticated face paint) into a background and then snapping pictures. The 3-D art piece transforms in to a two-dimensional photograph that makes visitors look twice.

I LOVE this. Not only is this kind of "Pop" art (get it?!?) a fantastic performance piece, but the photos of it have this intangible organic feel, which should leave the photo viewer wondering what it is about this painting that grabs them.... and that just can't be attained on flat canvas alone. Absolutely beautiful!
