Internet nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
Could LOLcats, Keyboard Cat, and ChatRoulette nab the Nobel Peace Prize? Well, sort of. The internet is among the record 237 nominees for the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize. Backers of the nomination include 2003 Nobel Peace Prize winner Shirin Ebadi and founder of the $100 laptop project, Nicholas Negroponte. Internet for Peace, a group set up to support the bid, says that the honor would be “a Nobel for each and every one of us.”
