Is being nice a nudge from our genes?
Researchers have found that some people are kind and generous in part because their genes nudge them toward it.
“Specifically, study participants who found the world threatening were less likely to help others—unless they had versions of the receptor genes that are generally associated with niceness,” says study leader Michel Poulin, of the University at Buffalo.
