Kissing goes digital, tongue and all [video]
Internet intimacy just took a step in a very weird direction, thanks to the ingenuity of researchers at the Kajimoto Laboratory at Japan’s University of Electro-Communications.
By manipulating a straw with one’s tongue, someone with a similar device on the other end can experience the “French” of an internet kiss without the pesky saliva. Now that the team has that part of it down, they’re moving on to simulating the breathy hesitation, taste and “tongue moistness” of lip-locking intimacy.
So much for the saliva comment, but at least users won’t have to worry about catching mono or some other nasty bug.
