LEGO forest sprouts in Australian outback

Residents of the isolated Australian mining town of Broken Hill woke up to quite the playful surprise when a life-size LEGO forest sprang up overnight. The plastic plantation is part of the LEGO Festival of Play, a nine-month-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of LEGOs in Australia.

The colorful outback forest runs through July 12.
