Strong summer thunderstorms rolled through Chicago Wednesday, towering up to 63,000 feet and unleashing 80 mph wind gusts in the Windy City. The powerful weather system also doled out 15,000 lightning strikes per hour at its peak. A camera stationed west of the Chicago loop area captured an incredible moment when lightning struck the city’s three tallest buildings at the same moment. Mother Nature doesn’t mess around.
Plenty of nature in action.
