LivingSocial raises $2 million for Japan disaster relief
The Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Fund will receive a $2,301,130 donation from LivingSocial, thanks in large part to the generosity of 230,113 members.
The Amazon-backed deal-a-day company solicited donations from its 24 million subscribers, offering a $10 donation for $5. The site picked up the tab for difference to the tune of $1 million.
