LOST numbers net fans $150 in Mega Millions
LOST fans hoping to net lottery millions a la Hurley scored a not-too-shabby sum of $150 in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing.
On the hit ABC show, Hugo “Hurley” Reyes pocketed $114 million by playing the mysterious (and probably cursed) numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42. In real life, the numbers for the record-setting Mega Millions jackpot were eerily similar—though not similar enough for the big prize—at 4 8 15 25 47 42.
More than 9,000 people played the infamous numbers in Tuesday’s drawing. Hmm, 150 bucks could score you a couple dozen six packs of Dharma Initiative-brand beer. Or maybe a one-on-one with a polar bear.
