Computer scientists have figured out how to add acceleration noise to make the bangs and clatters of animated crashes sound like the real thing.
Computer scientists have come up with a new method of including sound that adds realism to animated collisions. “We realized that just simulating the vibrations of objects to get the sound was flawed,” says Cornell University computer scientist Doug James.
